Artist Application
Are you an artist with a bold voice, fierce vision, or beautifully neurodivergent brain? Naughty Nerp is looking for unapologetic creators who align with our values of body-positivity, feminism, inclusivity, and rebellious joy. Whether you draw, paint, collage, meme, or design merch that makes people laugh, we want to hear from you. This is your invitation to join the Nerp-verse and co-create work that speaks to weirdos, warriors, and soft souls alike.
We are primarily looking for art to print on products through a print on demand service. This can include a plethora of items and you have a say in what that looks like for you. You choose your product pricing as well.
In special cases we will accept items that are not processed through print on demand. The terms and conditions will look different for those special cases.
The Details
Thank you for your interest in collaborating with Naughty Nerp! We love working with bold, feminist, body-positive, and neurodivergent-aligned artists to bring spicy, weird, and affirming products into the world.
Know before you apply:
1. Revenue Split
No hosting fees or initial costs for the artist!
You, the Artist, will receive 35% of net profits on each item sold featuring your work that Naughty Nerp produces. Naughty Nerp will retain the remaining 65% to cover production, hosting, fulfillment, packaging, marketing, and customer support.
Items that the artist produces and ships will keep 65% of net profits. Please note that due to cohesivity of the brand, this option is only available in special circumstances.
2. Rights & Usage
You retain copyright ownership of your original artwork.
When collaborating with Naughty Nerp, the artist grants a non-exclusive, royalty-based license to reproduce your work on agreed-upon merchandise for the duration of the collaboration.
This includes use of your artwork in promotional materials, social media, ads, packaging, and digital storefronts.
You agree not to license the same artwork to a competing retailer for the duration of our agreement.
3. Term & Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days’ written notice.
If the agreement ends, all remaining stock featuring your work may continue to be sold until inventory is depleted, with profit shares continuing per the agreed terms.
4. Creative Direction
You’ll be credited as the artist wherever possible (product pages, IG posts, etc.). We’ll consult you on major creative changes but may adjust sizing, placement, or presentation to fit various product formats.
